First I wanted to get this message thread into the archive, so I break my
own rules about long threads ...<[:(} (I did kill off Jim's long sig though.

I have been digging for the last few minutes on the LPCO site trying find
the darn platform. Why bother having one if it is a secret?

I want to take a look at the list and see where I fit if we are divvying up
the pie. Jim just took my fave - privacy, but that doesn't mean I can't help
him out with a few suggestions.

I want my own copy of the existing platform. I feel like a dummy.

Subject: Tackling issues - 3 each???

Okay,

So it's John's suggestion we actually try to tackle 3 (that's THREE) issues
each.

I sense the concept of createing a COMPLETE platform for the LPCO being the
goal here.

Well - what does everyone else thing? Hell - why not. I'm up for it.
The three topics I think I'd like to take on are:
- Gun Laws/Ownership Rights & Issues (for background reference: my father
and I were gun dealers - I know this arena first hand and intimately since I
had to do all the paperwork and deal with BATF and the occassional FBI & CBI
agent).
- Freedom of Privacy - which ties into the Homeland Security concept in my
opinion.
- Freedom of Speech / The Internet/ Information Distribution

I'd take on Education - but it seems I'm just a bit too much of an
incrementalist and moderate on that issue for most of the party even though
I think my angle that was never revealed because of loss of the nomination
would be tremendously marketable and easy to get behind for the general
public even if it is a bit of a "lukewarm" libertarian stance on the topic
to those in the party.

So what is the consesus? Who wants to try for 3? Who wants to take on
what???

Vance

Not so fast!! I think that each memer should tackel three planks. One
will be the top priority, who knows how easy some of you will get off?
Some issues may only take a few minutes and others a great deal of brain
strain. Evrybody should be equally over loaded.
