______________________________________________________________________ Welcome to the new bi-weekly news letter! I hope to incorporate all the news of LPI and any other pertinent information that I receive during the previous 2 weeks. If you have any LPI information you would like to pass along, please let me know and I can perhaps add it to the news letter: ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) ______________________________________________________________________ WEB SITE UPDATE You will notice our web site has changed significantly recently. We have had some wonderful help from some volunteers who said they would like to do the updating for us, a great big thank you to them all - (where would we be without our volunteers?) Nicole Davis has done a little updating on the site, and has organized a page of ideas about how to train for the LPI exams. Please have a look at it www.lpi.org/c-preparation.html - thanks Nicole. If you have any other ideas or know other books that are pointing to an LPI certification, please let me know. Also if you know of a training effort that is not on the lintraining website, ensure it is added by contacting www.lintraining.com - and filling in their 'add a new resource'section. ******It's important to remember that we do not authorize or in any way endorse the training - as this goes against our neutrality - we just want to let candidates know what is out there.************ --Jerry Crick made some revision on the section of "About LPI" on the website and now we have separate sections of people's biographies for different departments (teams), see www.lpi.org/a-who-are-we.html If you are working for LPI (full-time or volunteer) and would like to add or update your biography on the website, please email Jerry Crick ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) or Deshuang Tang ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). [EMAIL PROTECTED] TRANSLATIONS The LPI web site translation into German is almost complete, the Japanese translation has been available through our web site for some time. We have various other volunteers who are busily translating into many other languages, like: French and Chinese. If any one has any interest in assisting with other languages, please contact Duane Dunstan, at [EMAIL PROTECTED] as he is co-ordinating this for us. Thanks Duane! The exam translations are progressing nicely. We are looking at the Japanese translation at present, and the LPI supporters in Japan are funding this.
