Linux Professional Institute Offers Discounted Certification Exams at LinuxWorld Utrecht (October 11-12)
(Kassel, Germany and Toronto, Canada: September 29, 2006) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), (http://www.lpi.org), will offer discounted certification exams to attendees of LinuxWorld Expo Utrecht at 11:00 and 15:00 on October 11-12, 2006. Exams will be in the English language and include all LPIC-1 (101 and 102) and LPIC-2 (201 and 202) exams, both MySQL 5.0 certification exams (administrator and developer) and the Ubuntu Professional exam. This will be the first time that the Ubuntu Professional exam will be offered at a LinuxWorld event in Europe. "Compu'Train", a leading knowledge provider for technical IT personnel and end users in the Netherlands (http://www.computrain.nl/) is supporting LPI's participation at LinuxWorld Expo Utrecht by offering prizes for those candidates who obtain the three highest test scores on their LPI exams: first prize will be a TUX-family (see http://www.linux-discount.de/Store/bdme/BDME-002-INT/de), second prize a TUX-case (see http://www.linux-discount.de/Store/hw99/HW99-T00-INT/de) and third prize will be a DVD of the film "March of the Penguins". All exams will be offered in Room "Claus foyer" at the "Jaarbeurs Utrecht" conference facility on both days of the exposition. Conference attendees will pay 60,- EUR for the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams--a 50% discount off the regular price. The Ubuntu Professional exam will be available at a discounted fee of 75,- EUR for UBUNTU community members and 85,- EUR to all other LinuxWorld participants. The MySQL exams are offered at a 50% discount to all conference participants at 85,- EUR. As with LPI exams, all candidates can pay for their exams at the exam room by cash. All LPI and Ubuntu Professional candidates must pre-register at the LPI website for an LPI ID number at http://www.lpi.org/en/lpi/english/certification/register_now. Exam candidates must bring valid photo identification and their LPI ID number to the exam lab. Exam candidates for MySQL exams must also obtain a MySQL certification ID from the MySQL website at http://www.mysql.com/certification/signup and must also bring valid photo identification and their MySQL certification ID number to the exam events.
