Linux Professional Institute hosts events during LinuxWorld San Francisco 2007
(Toronto, Canada: July 12, 2007) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), (http://www.lpi.org), will provide discounted certification testing during LinuxWorld Conference & Expo® San Francisco, August 6 - 9, 2007 at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, California. LPI is the official certification sponsor of LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, offering a standardized, multi-national, and respected program to certify professional expertise in Linux. Paid conference delegates will be able to take the LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams free as part of their conference fee (a $150 US value per exam) while those attending the trade show will be able to take the exams at a discounted fee of US $75 per exam. The LPI exam lab will be offered each day at 1 p.m. (Room # 236, Moscone Center North). All candidates must pre-register at the LPI web site for an LPI ID number at https://www.lpi.org/en/register.html. Exam candidates must bring valid photo identification and their LPI ID number to the exam lab. The Ubuntu Certified Professional exam will also be available to all conference and trade show attendees at $75--a 50% discount off the regular price. Dr. James Stanger, Chair of the LPI Advisory Council extended an invitation to all Linux professionals to attend LPI events to be hosted during the conference: "LinuxWorld San Francisco is a signature event for LPI where we actively invite the input of Open Source opinion leaders and Linux professionals to participate in the development of LPI certification programs and other LPI initiatives.
