LPI to host discounted exam labs in England and Sweden in September (Toronto, Canada: August 20, 2007) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the premier Linux certification organization worldwide, will provide discounted certification testing at LinuxConf Europe on Tuesday September 4th in Cambridge, England and at the Linux Summit Sweden, Wednesday, September 5 in Stockholm.
OpenForum Europe, LPI's affiliate in the UK, will be hosting the exam lab in Cambridge at the University Arms Hotel during LinuxConf Europe 2007. All LPIC exams will be available for the event. Conference delegates who pre-registered for the event prior to August 1, 2007 will be able to sit for any two LPI exams for a special combined price of 95 EUR or £65. However, given limited exam times registered conference delegates unable to complete both exams during the conference may receive a voucher allowing the second exam to be taken at any other PBT exam session in the next year. All other subsequent conference delegates (those registered after August 1st) will be able to obtain LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams or the LPI-302 exam for 60 EUR or £40. The LPIC-3 certification exam, LPI-301 will be available for 80 EUR or £55, which is half of the regular price. LPI will also offer LPIC-1 (101 and 102) exams at the LinuxSummit Sweden in the Rektangelsalen room of the Berns conference center from 17:00 - 20:00 hrs on September 5, 2007 for the discounted price of SEK 550 per exam. In order to attend the LPI exam labs, candidates should pre-register at exams_at_lpi.org and obtain a valid LPI-ID at http://www.lpi.org/en/lpi/english/certification/register_now. Exam candidates need to bring valid photo identification and their LPI-ID number to exam labs.
