LPI at LinuxTag 2010, Berlin, Germany: "Jobcorner", Exam labs and Workshops

(Sacramento, CA, USA: May 20, 2010) The Linux Professional Institute
(LPI), the world's leading Linux certification organization
(http://www.lpi.org), will again participate at LinuxTag 2010
(http://www.linuxtag.org) in Berlin, Germany.  LPI is
the official certification partner at the event.

During LinuxTag LPI will host the following activities:

LPI JOBCORNER:

Qualified Linux professionals who are seeking employment can send a job
search profile to LPI-Central Europe which will be posted at LPI's booth
at LinuxTag (Hall 7.2a, Stand No. 212). The only requisite is that
employment candidates must have an LPI certification. The web form for

Job search profiles may be submitted until Thursday, June 1, 2010.

In addition, LPI partners may submit job vacancies for the "LPI
Jobcorner."  Prospective job candidates who are interested may arrange
an appointment with co-exhibitors at the booth at LinuxTag. One of
the co-exhibitors will be the company B1 Systems which is also an LPI
Approved Gold Partner.

LPI will also be distributing free LPIC pins at the LPI booth at
LinuxTag.  Each LPI certified person will receive an LPIC pin with
either the LPIC-1, LPIC-2 or LPIC-3 logo depending on the certification
level they have attained.

LPI EXAMS:

LPI exams are offered at the following dates and times:

    * Thursday, June 10, 2010: 10:00, 13:00 and 16:00
    * Friday, June 11, 2010: 16:00
    * Saturday, June, 12 2010: 10:00 and 13:00

More than 130 seat reservations have been received for exams during
LinuxTag. Only a few remaining seats are available. All LPI exam labs
will be conducted in Hall 4.1, at the Messe Berlin, Messedamm 22, 14055

Exam lab participants should meet in the exam room 15 minutes prior to

LPI CONFERENCES:

The project group "Personalzertifizierung" (personnel certification)
which was founded by LPI at the Open Source Business Foundation will
meet in Berlin on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 11:30-17:00. There will be a
program with presentations by participants from the fields of IT
certification, quality management and training. The project group will
develop and work out defined targets, milestones and agreements as to
whom is responsible for various project resources.

As with the past two years, there will be a conference for LPI Approved
Academic Partners (LPI-AAP) at LinuxTag on Friday, June 11, 2010. Focus
of this conference will be knowledge exchange between partners and
innovations and developments in the AAP program. Further information may

LPI CLASSROOM LECTURES:

In the Open Source Arena, the open stage at LinuxTag 2010 (Hall 7.2b)
there will be daily LPI classroom lectures. The LPI lectures will be on
Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at 12:00 and on Friday at 13:00.

LPIC-1 WORKSHOPS

Prior to taking their LPI exams, candidates may attend an LPIC workshop
to clarify questions about LPI exams and improve their Linux knowledge.
The LPIC workshops will be on June 9, 2010 at LinuxTag and will provide
an opportunity for exam candidates to meet other Linux professionals and
a Linux trainer from Linuxhotel. The application form to attend the LPIC
