LPI partners with Big Data Cloud

(Sacramento, CA, USA: June 4, 2013) The Linux Professional Institute,
the world's premier Linux certification organization, announced a
partnership initiative with Big Data Cloud
(http://www.bigdatacloud.com/) -- a not-for-profit organization
evangelizing the new technology movement regarding Big Data and the
Cloud. The partnership initiative will promote events and other
educational resources for LPI alumni on topics related to Big Data and
the Cloud. Big Data Cloud hosts annual events and monthly meetups and
has over 2700+ members. It is founded and operated by Third Eye
Consulting Services & Solutions LLC (http://thirdeyecss.com/).

"Linux and Open Source Software are the basis of Big Data and Cloud
technologies. As such LPI's certified professionals have a
career-related interest in this market space. Our partnership with Big
Data Cloud enables us to bring state-of-the art educational resources on
these topics to our alumni either through events, multimedia and various
other resources. We will promote the role Linux professionals have in
the further development of these technologies," said Jim Lacey,
president and CEO of LPI. Mr. Lacey added that LPI will be presenting at
Big Data Cloud's upcoming event "Big Data Cloud Today"
(http://bigdatacloudtoday.com/agenda/) on June 7th, 2013 at the Computer
History Museum, Mountain View, CA. Local LPI alumni are encouraged to
attend this event.

Most Big Data and Cloud technologies prevalent today in the IT world
have their roots in open source software championed by the Apache
Software Foundation (http://www.apache.org/): “This partnership between
Big Data Cloud and LPI aims to do with Big Data & Cloud what LPI did
with Linux” stated Dj Das (http://www.linkedin.com/in/djdas/), Founder &
CEO of Third Eye Consulting Services and Big Data Cloud. “We are indeed
excited with the opportunities that lie in front of us for evangelizing
and training around Big Data and Cloud technologies.”

The Linux Professional Institute is globally supported by the IT
industry, enterprise customers, community professionals, government
entities and the educational community. LPI's certification program is
supported by an affiliate network spanning five continents and is
distributed worldwide in multiple languages at more than 5,000 testing
locations. Since 1999, LPI has delivered over 350,000+ exams and
