I helped organize the LPIC-3 beta exam lab in Montreal last week. I had
the opportunity to test exam 302, and I am really impressed with the
quality and pertinence of the exam. Good work, guys.

That being said, I believe that LPIC-3 might actually boost the number
of LPIC-2 holder, as some people will get LPIC-2 as a pre-requisite to
LPIC-3. Most of the people at the Montreal event where not LPIC-2
holder, and some actually took renewed interest in the LPIC track and
wrote some 10x/20x exams. I would not expect the influx of new LPIC-1/2
holder chasing LPIC-3 to be very big, but the effect could only be
positive.

At the very least, LPIC-3 will provide very good positioning and
credibility for LPI (if done well).
