I've spoken to the people who run it and they're both energetic and serious about making this work.
I'd like to call attention to something that is perhaps even more significant, right in the first two sentences of the story but unrelated to the training: > Want a job working in Linux? Then one of your first steps should be to > get an LPIC-1 (Linux Professional Institute first level) certification. This is notworthy because it's a specific endorsement, not the "LPIC-1 is one choice from many, choose what's good for you" drivel that has been written elsewhere. It's a major step forward in the way eWeek (and that particular writer) have talked about LPI -- previously its articles have spoken about LPI as one of a pack. Scott, hang on to this quote, it's a keeper and great for future promotional material. It's possibly the first-ever specific endorsement from a general purpose (ie, not Linux-centric) IT media outlet I can recall. I knew they'd come around. :-) - Evan _______________________________________________ lpi-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://list.lpi.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/lpi-discuss
