LPI Certification Approved as Prerequisite for HP Certified Professional Program
(Sacramento, CA.,USA and Tokoyo, Japan: February 6, 2008) The Linux Professional Institute (LPI), the world's premier Linux certification organization (http://www.lpi.org), announced the inclusion of LPIC-2 as one of the accepted prerequisites for the HP Accredited System Engineer (ASE) on HP BladeSystem and HP ProLiant ML/DL servers. "This inclusion of our higher level certification program within the HP Industry Standard Server program demonstrates that LPI programs are viewed as the global industry standard for the aspiring Linux professional. We will continue to reach out to other industry leaders to ensure our certification remains the best measurement tool for employers and the most important career choice for IT professionals," said Jim Lacey, President and CEO of LPI. The HP ASE program for Industry Standard Servers requires that IT professionals be able to design, support and/or implement complex, enterprise-level technology. LPIC-2 joins the list of accepted prerequisites within the HP ASE BladeSystem and ProLiant ML/DL accreditation along with other Linux certifications, such as the Novell Certified Linux Engineer, RHCE, and SAIR.
