Gents: May I suggest that in this new RP project, please take into consideration http://Identi.ca, as a primary service for microblogging, since it's based on status.net (laconica software), FOSS software, and many FOSS users use that service instead of Twitter.
And something very usefull for those who also maintain accounts at Twitter: auto post to another Twitter account. This way everything posted at identi.ca would be reposted automatically to Twitter. Cool, isn't it? And FOSS activists would thank you guys! Wish you success in this initiative!
