All: The new O'Reilly book is listed on the LPI website at: http://www.lpi.org/eng/training__1/study_materials/new_exam_preparation_resources_for_revised_lpic_exams
However you can find it at: http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596804879/ As already discussed it does cover our revised 2009 objectives--but just for LPIC-1. I've bcced Andy, Bruno and James--perhaps one of them can come on the list and confirm? ;-) Finally, as also noted before the "German" LPIC-2 courseware noted in this thread is most likely from Linup Front: http://www.linupfront.de/ However, there is a rumour about that Sybex will produce a LPIC-2 book as well. I have bcced all the usual suspects. ;-) Thanks all. Off to find an air-conditioned spot to watch the Uruguay/Netherlands game! scott -- Scott Lamberton Director of Communications Linux Professional Institute http://www.lpi.org [email protected] +1-905-269-0862 **Introducing www.lpimall.com in North America!** Ian Shields wrote: > > You can see the press release for the new edition at > http://press.oreilly.com/pub/pr/2587 The TOC is at > http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596804886/ > > Product Details > > Title: LPI Linux Certification in a Nutshell, Third Edition > By: Adam Haeder, Stephen Addison Schneiter, Bruno Gomes Pessanha, > James Stanger > Publisher: O'Reilly Media > Formats: > > * Print > * Ebook > * Safari Books Online > > Print Release: June 2010 > Ebook Release: June 2010 > Pages: 528 > Print ISBN: 978-0-596-80487-9 > | ISBN 10: 0-596-80487-3 > Ebook ISBN: 978-1-4493-9013-6 > | ISBN 10: 1-4493-9013-7 > > > Ian Shields Ph.D. > Linux Technologist, ISV & Developer Relations > IBM Corp > Research Triangle Park, NC > [email protected] > > > > > From: Martin M?ller Skarbiniks Pedersen <[email protected]> > To: "General discussion relating to LPI." <[email protected]> > Date: 07/06/2010 06:15 AM > Subject: [lpi-discuss] Finally a new O'Reiley LPI book ? > Sent by: [email protected] > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > > > Hi, > > It looks like the O'Reiley LPI book finally have been updated but I > am not 100% sure. > Does anyone knows if this book > http://www.amazon.co.uk/LPI-Linux-Certification-Nutshell-OReilly/dp/0596804873 > is a updated version or just a reprint of the older version ? > > Regards > Martin > _______________________________________________ > lpi-discuss mailing list > [email protected] > http://list.lpi.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/lpi-discuss > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > lpi-discuss mailing list > [email protected] > http://list.lpi.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/lpi-discuss -- Scott Lamberton Director of Communications Linux Professional Institute http://www.lpi.org [email protected] +1-905-269-0862 **Introducing www.lpimall.com in North America!** _______________________________________________ lpi-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://list.lpi.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/lpi-discuss
