/ contains subdirectories defined in FHS and a few other bits /boot contains files needed to boot the system, usually kernel images and initrd's /lib/modules contains kernel modules, organized by kernel version > Is it not a repeatition of "104.7 Find system files and place files in > the correct location... No. AFAIR FHS doesn't have much to say about those directories above, but I'm too lazy right now to find the reference so I could be wrong. The first item you mention is an LIP-2 objective which already tells you it ought to be very different from the second, and on a different level. I would expect an LPIC-2 graduate to be very familiar with how to use, create and maintain everything in /, /boot , and /lib/modules which necessarily includes configuring, building and installing a custom kernel with modules. -- Alan McKinnon [email protected] _______________________________________________ lpi-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://list.lpi.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/lpi-discuss
