I'm sure that many of you have heard by now that 3 of the founding members of LPI (Jon "maddog" Hall, Evan Leibovitch, Chuck Mead) have rejoined the board after about 10 years away from having any significant role in LPI, especially in the governance area (ie. board level responsibilities). When LPI started, there were no certification holders to include in the governance of LPI. That's certainly changed since 1999 and the board has asked me to help them with some changes to the bylaws which would not only give the certification holders a strong voice in LPI's future directions but also set the tone in showing the value in being part of the LPI community. Particularly for the largest and most important stakeholders, us certification holders. Since this list is mostly comprised of LPI certified people, I thought it would be fitting to see what your thoughts were on this initiative. Regards, --matt -- G.
