Hi, if this is not the right place to ask these questions, apologies and please let me know.
There is a host of documentation with regards to the Linux certifications. I. for starters, have benefited from a lot of free documentation in passing my Linux Essential exam. At the moment of writing, there's no documentation on the LPI website (and anywhere else that I know of) about the new BSD Specialist. The closest thing I've found, and which I'm using right now, is the old BSDwiki: http://bsdwiki.reedmedia.net/wiki/ which was the base for the old BSD Associate certification, maintained by the BSD Certification Group: http://bsdcertification.org/certification/bsd-associate.html There's a lot of overlap between the two certifications and I'm pretty sure the LPI one is based on the old one. There are definitely many free resources on the {Free,Net,Open}BSD.org websites, but nothing on this particular certification. Some parts of the syllabus are not clear, e.g.: "712.2 Create File Systems and Maintain their Integrity (weight: 1) - Create UFS and ZFS file systems." Surely, this will be a written exam. The wording seems to imply a hands-on approach? I'd like to have some feedback from the list.
