Hi Matt, The exams I have looked at sofar, are called CKAD & CKA (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer & Certified Kubernetes Administrator). https://training.linuxfoundation.org/certification/certified-kubernetes-application-developer-ckad/ https://training.linuxfoundation.org/certification/certified-kubernetes-administrator-cka/
The thing I found interesting is the exam location: @home, and how these are exams constructed. One could question how much a candidate could cheat while being in the comfort of his own home, and if such candidate shows the same results when being under more pressure/stress in a real exam location (or even at real work situations). Next to the above, looking in my own professional ’network’, the amount of people knowing, or even studying LPI is shrinking. Questioning some people about the why seems to boil down to: - too much nitty-gritty details need to be learned (which in normal live can be looked up in man-pages), which people tend to forget in weeks - too much of these details is outdated (seen the quick increase in software versions and their changes in the ever more rapid changing IT landscape) Maybe an easier to take exam could benefit the LPI community, in keeping the value of the exams on their required level.
