Hi Lucas,

If I understand your question correctly, you don't have to retake any exams
in order to reactivate your certs through the membership program.

You only have to submit claims totalling 20 PDUs for accomplishments or
activities that occurred in the last 12 months. Work experience, for
example, is worth 8 PDUs/year.

Here's a list of activities that can be used to claim PDUs:

Another question is If I become a member, can I get mail address (at)

We've considered doing something like this (same with dynamic DNS services)
but we've had a lot of people over the years misrepresent their
relationship with LPI, including on LI.

Perhaps something like @member.lpi.org addresses could be done but, at this
point, it would take some strong advocacy from the members to convince
anyone to do it.

The most direct way to do this advocacy would be to propose the idea at an
AGM. They are in June with proposals due in May. At the AGM, the member can
present the proposal and there's a non-binding vote of attending members.
The outcome of the vote would be a good indicator to the board and staff on
the interest in the proposal.
