I just finished up sending an email to Vagner Farias at Conectiva and
I'm happy to hear that you're interested in Linux certification. As I
explained to Vagner, LPI's exams must be delivered by a VUE authorized
exam center. While it is unlikely that an authorized center could set
up a secure testing area at the show with such short notice, there are
at least eight VUE testing centers in Sao Paulo that your students may
go to in order to take the exam. I'll append a list of those centers to
this email, but you can get the latest list of centers by visiting VUE's
web site at:
http://www.vue.com/testing/index.html
>From this page, click on "Locate testing centers." On the next page,
select "Linux Professional Institute Training" and click the "Continue"
button. Scroll down the list of countries that you'll be presented and
select "Brazil" then click the "Continue" button. Scroll down the next
list you are presented with and choose "Sao Paulo" and once again click
"Continue." This will present you with the list of all VUE authorized
testing centers in Sao Paulo. Your students may contact these testing
centers to schedule their tests.
Please remind your students that even though the our 101 exam is
officially in its BETA period, the exam does count 100% towards their
future LPI certification.
