I regret to have to inform our little LPI family that one of our
co-founder's, Scott Murray, died alone in an Arkansas hotel room two weeks
ago. I received a call from his mother this evening.
Scott's death is a great sadness to me as he was one of the brightest men
I ever knew! His mother confirmed my suspicion that he has been ill for
some time (though unwilling to admit it) and that his poor health (obesity
and diabetes with a pile of diabetic consequences) had seriously affected
his mind over the last year. I choose to remember, forever, the Scott we
knew in the beginning of our effort when he was full of energy and hope! I
hope that the rest of you can do the same.
