Hmmm, browse lists contain NetBIOS names. For the above to fix browsing 
problems, I would expect you to have to add "wins proxy = yes". I guess, 
as well, since 'wins server = xxx.yyy.zzz.aaa' tells nmbd to register 
its name with the listed WINS server, browsing the Samba server is more 
likely to work.

However, this is likely to only be a problem in a multi-subnet Windows 
serving environment. I would not expect an LPIC-1 candidate to know the 
subtleties of such environments
