No: we have considered that professional environments require
stability.  It may be necessary to reconfigure and recompile a kernel to
support new hardware (or a new system carried in).  But a new kernel
VERSION is likely to break a few things.  It is a decision to be made by
someone higher in the chain; repairing the glitches is also beyond the
Junior.  That is why we excluded installing new kernels (from source or
distro) from Level 1.
