Hey everyone,
We've had small threads here there and yonder regarding how to separate
the topics and objectives into two exams which will ease studying and
preparation as well as provide a smooth path for publishers and trainers
to work with our materials.
It's finally time to go ahead and divide our objectives. If we ignore
weight of objective areas, and simply look at General System areas versus
Network Systems area, we could divide the areas like this:
GENERAL NETWORK
---------------------------------------------
Filesystem DNS
Hardware File & Service Sharing
Kernel Mail & News
System Startup Network Clients
System Maintenance General Networking
System Customization Security
Troubleshooting
Web
So what if we consider the weights? The above would then have 36 units in
System "form" and then 62 units in the network "form". At first glance, I
see where we could move Security and Troubleshooting areas to the
System form, and the weights would be more equal, 53 and 45 in the split.
What do you think would be the best split, while keeping weights in mind?
I'm extremely eager to get feedback from authors, publishers, and those in
the training business. Below is a list of our areas and their associated
weights. My idea of System versus Networking is not intended to be the
base of our discussion, just an idea. There is *nothing* to prevent us
from completely reorganizing :) To see the weights and objectives in
