Yes, we're still working on Level 1, and finally I think I've stopped worrying about it!
Sandy and I had a very productive evening on the #LPI IRC channel. We found all the data we need, we've sorted out all the items for scoring, and parsed all the old data that's moved around. She is going to run a test batch for one form today, and if that goes well (it should) the rest should be finished by the first of the week. This means I should get the new exams to both our testing centers by Tues or Wednesday, and then the new exams should be available by Aug 1. However, I'll republish a final "publish date" once I have concrete ones with both VUE and Prometric. I have to work out with VUE how to offer both the old and new exams simultaneously. Should we set an expiry date on the old exams, or should they be available everywhere until we end the beta? I'm torn because we aren't publishing the new L1 beta in Japanese, and I don't know if it's fair to remove the english version but not the Japanese. The beta should run for 2 months. We can run it longer, since we are scoring this exam (YAY!!!). I'm thinking that 60 days notice to expire the old exams is more than fair. comments, questions? -- Kara Pritchard Phone: 618-398-7360 Director of Exam Development http://www.lpi.org/ -- _______________________________________________ Lpi-examdev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lpi.org/mailman/listinfo/lpi-examdev
