Greetings everyone one this cold, icy, expecting another 3-5" of snow & ice in the next 24 hours day :-)
I am pleased with the beginning of our Tasks Drive within our new Exam Development tool. I am going to begin a drive this week to solicit new volunteers and participants within our Exam Development team, starting with new people to submit tasks to move our JTA development along. If you weren't aware already, I'll remind you that our goal for development the on-line development system is to maintain CONTINUOUS development of all of our programs, including new and current exams. To maximize this opportunity, and to ensure proper guidance and content development, I need to enlist a few good men (and women ;-) to help lead discussions, development, and enlist additional volunteers and SMEs within individual topics. I have a candidate for our Samba topic, but I'd be interested in volunteers for the Security topic and the Level 2 Update topic. These volunteers will have the following responsibilities: 1) Lead discussions on LPI Exam Development Mailing lists regarding current development status within their topic. 2) Answer technical questions and monitor technical accuracy of participants and volunteers within specific development stages. 3) Edit content submissions, including tasks, objectives, and likely submitted items within their topic. 4) Help solicit volunteers and subject matter experts within the topic. The position of Topic Development Leader is going to be a very important role to me and to LPI. Volunteers need to be ready to participate an hour a day (or 5ish hours per week) to assist me in leading the development of the given subject.
