Hey everyone, I've been tossing around an idea, and have a few leads in place to investigate an idea I had for an item writing workshop for this summer's Ottawa Linux Symposium.
I've been reminiscing about the old-fashioned community shows, the ones that truly contributed to our who's who in the Linux community and did as much work toward the development of all of our organizations than it did for advertising Linux itself (like LinuxWorld does). My thought is to have at least 1 day of open exam development. I'm thinking a couple different sessions, each with a primary focus on an exam subject. Someone (probably me) would give a brief intro to LPI and our exam development practices, and then open the floor for exam development questions, and begin an item writing workshop. By the event we should at least have the capability of banking exam items, if not more. I would like to target attendees who excel in that field to participate in the specific writing events, and open the floor to any attendee to participate as well. I'm thinking it could be fun.
