Clearly, there are a lot of things that the L3-Security cert could cover.

I would like to get an opinion from the list - which packages do you think
are important enough to be included in the L3-Security cert?

I put together a list yesterday - please suggest ones I didn't think of,
or suggest the removal of ones you don't think are important enough. This
is meant to be just add-on packages, not distributions such as SELinux,
nor stuff that is built into every distribution like iptables.

My goal would be to get a "short list" of packages, then work with their
respective listserves to come up with a list of 10-20 tasks per
application for inclusion in the cert.

The list so far:

a. Apache
b. PHP
c. Sendmail
d. Qmail
e. postfix
f. MySQL
g. Samba
h. Squid
i. LDAP
j. Snort
k. TCPDUMP
l. Ethereal
m. FreeSWAN
n. NetCat
o. Spam Assassin
p. BIND
q. Kerberos
r. NMAP
s. Nessus

Thanks,
