Or even better, where would you fit in the IPV6 item in our existing
objectives? We have already objectives that address IPV4 so why not add
the needed knowledge areas for IPV6 to those?

BTW: That's exactly why our objectives review was started:

Objective Review:

The Objective Review of LPIC-1 was completed on schedule on June 30,
2005. Wider community input on updating LPIC-1 objectives is now being
requested until the end of the year. For those interested in providing
input on this review please see the draft updated objectives at
https://group.lpi.org/cgi-bin/publicwiki/view/Examdev/ObjectivesReview.

A similar effort involving community and stakeholder input will be
undertaken for the review of LPIC-2 objectives from September 2005
(2005-09-01) until the end of February 2006 (2006-02-28).

The review process includes both the objective description
(non-technical language to describe identified tasks) and the key
knowledge areas of the technology and software used. However, the basic
content of each objective will not change.

These updated objectives will be effective for LPIC-1 in April 2006
(2006-04) and for LPIC-2 in May 2006 (2006-05). In the interim and after
the review is completed the Certification team will publish a publicly
available file comparing the differences between the old and new
objectives. All community members are invited to send their
objective-related comments using the links at the review pages noted above.

Thanks,

Taki
