I do not think the stability is in cause, although there can be (legitimate?) concerns around that too. I think what the previous comment was about is that it is getting obsolete and being phased out. That being said, LPI stance have always been to certify "what's out there". There are still a lot of systems in production, Suse or otherwise, that uses reiserfs. In that regards, it make sense to have it in the objectives, however unsavory it may be to some.
