Dear Martijn I would suggest that after taking a look at the LE objectives, that you break those similar topics found in LPIC1 down into a learning form/manner a kid and beginner can understand(That's what i consider while setting up LE course ware or slides.)

It's also highly recommended. Anselm's books too, I've used the LPIC1 books from LinupFront (English version:since that's the major language I still speak for now)so I'm sure the LE will equally be good( http://shop.linupfront.de/product/lxes/.
