Hi list,

I'm preparing material for a training class for the 101 exam.

I see that GRUB2 is a new topic as July 2.

More precisely: "Perform basic configuration changes for GRUB 2.",
topic 102.2 Install a boot manager.

What is basic configuration? GRUB2 is so vast, has so many options and
a script (grub-mkconfig) that calls scripts and generates grub.cfg,
which is another script that is interpreted by GRUB.

Does the candidate need to understand the /etc/grub.d/* scripts?

Understanding /etc/default/grub would be enough?

Directly understanding grub.cfg is more important and don't bother
about the scripts?

Regards,

Miguel
