So the issue is about Sendmail the MTA. I take then your question could be rephrased this way: "Isn't Sendmail an old piece of junk no one is any longer rolling out on a fresh install of a production server? Shouldn't we consider consigning it to the dustbin of history, a memory when to configure an MTA one had to train seven years with a Shinto origami master and then become a Zen concentration and meditation sage?" Could be. It's been a lot of time when I last happened to cross my eyes on statistics about the most used MTAs in the Internet. Sendmail was still prevalent five or more years ago, but in steady decline. I wonder what's the situation today, but I did notice there are few people asking assistance in configuring or debugging a Sendmail server. I also noticed Ubuntu decided to break the POSIX requirement and let the sendmail command be an optional package. -- Alessandro Selli Tel: 340.839.73.05 http://alessandro.route-add.net, VOIP: sip:dhatarat...@ekiga.net Chiavi PGP/GPG keys: B7FD89FD, 4A904FD9 _______________________________________________ lpi-examdev mailing list lpi-examdev@lpi.org http://list.lpi.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/lpi-examdev
