Sorry Matt, I just couldn't believe someone was agreeing with me.  I'm not
used to people going to the "same church" as me.  ;)

In any case, just so there is no misunderstanding, in my openly
_subjective_ view ...

 - _Both_ ifconfig/netstat/route
   _and_ ip/ss should be covered in LPI

The only other point, non-LPI, that I was adding was, in the context of
"scripts" which one person brought up, and another corrected -- I siding
with the latter ...

 - People should _not_ use ifconfig/route
   in scripts, but ip instead

But that latter part is not really LPI's focus.
