What I'd like is to avoid any question about a specific monitoring tool 
inside the test.

I have no answer about which way we can assess specific knowledge in 
this area. Just because there are many possible valid solutions (also if 
I doubt that collectd is between them) it's impossible to test all of 
them, while choosing a specific one is just wrong.

I agree that RRD is the only common part we can concentrate on, but it 
seems too much for this argument.

My suggestion was asking about requisites for monitoring, and what to 
monitor and, perhaps, an high level feature comparison. I don't think is 
right to put in the test any specific question about any specific 
monitor tool.
