  The fact is that awk, just like the shell, has various fields and degrees of
usefulness.  bash shows up in 103.1 (101) "Work on the command line" and in
105.1 (102) "Customize and use the shell environment" and then of course in
the scripting topic. Perhaps awk too should be split: it's basic use as a
stream filter in 101 (like: print nth field in a record, print records between
n and m) and it's use as a scripting language in 102 (branching,
loops, regexp operators, ...).
