Full ack. NetworkManager and systemd-networkd are available on all distributions. At least for NetworkManager I see widespread use. Another way to deal with it could be to merge 109.2 and 109.3, keeping it at weight 4. Adding NetworkManager and systemd-networkd to be the new 109.3 , e.g. named "persistent network configuration".
