I was using this command: 
bash-2.04# /usr/local/libexec/filters/ifhp 
-Tmodel=hp4mp,trace,debug=5,dev=/dev/bpp0,status@,pagecount@ \
                < /etc/inetd.conf

... and also had status@ in /etc/ifhp.conf.   Maybe ifhp doesn't set the options
correctly?   I'll try looking into that.
