As you know, I have been muttering about broken parallel port
problems for a while. I seem to have found a solution to the
problem that works on all of the systems that I have tried it on:

Solaris 2.6 and later
  (Most likely all Solaris systems)
FreeBSD (3.2 and later)
(Most likely all the BSD based systems)
Linux (RedHat 6.0 and later, TurboLinux 3.4 and later)
  (Most likely all Linux systems)

I will be putting out new versions very soon.

A nod in the direction of Fujitsu America who made their
systems available for testing.
