  the current problem i'm experiencing is that i can only print when i ommit
the filter definition from printcap file (the 'if=' field).

   with the filter defined (which is the rhs-printfilters system) i don't get
any error.. according the logs the file was printed, much like if the output
went to /dev/null instead /dev/lp0..

  i'm using the following printcap:

# /etc/printcap
#
# This file was generated by Linuxconf's Printer module
# You may edit this file directly, but only standard printcap entries
# will be preserved.

##PRINTTOOL3## LOCAL epson 60x60 a4 {} Epson24 Default {}
lp:\
        :if=/var/spool/lpd/lp/filter:\
        :lp=/dev/lp0:\
        :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp:\
        :sh:
<eof>

  ideas? i've been told that LPRng is compatible with the old printcap style, so
it seems unlikely to be a problem in that file, anyway.. :/
