  You need to use:
  :ifhp=model=ghostscript,gs_device=ljet2p

  Hmmm... you can also use the following which will
  pass through preformmatted LJET stuff as well:
    :ifhp=model=gs_ljet2

You need to get a bit more status information.  Try using:

lpq -llll 

And see what the last couple of messages are.
