First, get more information about what the spooler is doing:

># lpc stop xxx         # stop queue xxx from printing

Now send a job via samba to queue xxx

># lpq -Pxxx            # look at the status

I suggest you look at the job itself now - the
files in the xxx queue spool directory.  These should
bear some slight resemblance to printable jobs.
You might find that they are total junk - in which
case the Windows system is not sending the correct
format of data.  If they look like PostScript or PCL,
then try:

># lpc start

Now look at the detailed status:

># lpq -Pxxx -llll

and see if there is any information there.
