Novell's NDPS LPD gateway is broken (IMHO)
</Rant>

Anyway, having said that, the following entry does the trick for me:
(This is with NDPS v2.1):

queue:force_localhost
queue:server
     :bk
     :send_data_first
     :sd=/var/spool/lpd/%P
     :[EMAIL PROTECTED]
     :lpd_bounce

Novell's NDPS server will immtediately terminate LPD TCP connections
when it sees something that it doesn't like. For example, sending
the control file first, or sending options that it doesn't recognize
in the control file.

Hope this helps.
