You need to set your localization.  LPRng uses the localization
information,  and checks for a printable character using isalpha().
If your isalpha() is not localized, then you will not see them.

If you do not understand what this is about,  then,  I hate to
say this,  prepare for a long and painful education in localization.
I still have the scars, a tattoo, and a VERY painful set of memories.
