It sounds like you have your Samba printing configuration
set up to use /tmp as the spool directory and it is getting full
and truncating the files. Modify the smb.conf or use SWAT to modify
the configuration so that the set the directory used by Samba to
somewhere where you have LOTS of space:

path=/var/spool/samba
The second possibility is that psfilter is running out of space or is
having a conversion problem. You need to use (again!) a directory with
LOTS of space for this reason. I think that apsfilter uses GhostScript
for conversions - you will need to set the temporary directory for GhostScript
and for apsfilter to something with LOTS of space.
