Patrick,
I found a small development typo in the lpd.c file. The "Name" variable
is given the value of "STARTALL", and when LPRng sends error messages to
syslog they are read as "STARTALL". Not very helpfull when parsing
syslog, I simply changed it to LPRng.
...
/* we start up servers while we can */
Name = "STARTALL";
setproctitle( "lpd %s", Name );
...
