You might try updating /usr/share/config/klpqrc to look like the following:
[klpq]
Spooler=LPRNG
jobSize=30
sizeSize=100
rankSize=40
ownerSize=100
lastQueue=laser1
updateDelay=0
autoOn=false
Width=826
Height=497
filesSize=238
I think the "Spooler=LPRNG" is the important part.
