This error means that Linux can't determine the format of a binary.
Run file on all filters and auxiliary programs you are using, and look
for anything unusual.
I'm not sure which binary formats are used by PPCLinux. My first guess
would be that a MacOS program ended up on your Linux partition in some
way.
(It could also be that the error has nothing to do with your printing
problems.)
