Patrick,

I installed LPRng on eceadm. I am trying to print directly to a printer
named dept2906 from eceadm. The host.lpd file just contained the line:
machine.domain

Does eceadm need to be added to it's own host.lpd file?

Here is my printcap file:
 dept2906|printer:rm=eceadm.ucsd.edu
 dept2906|printer
   :server
   :cm=Laserwriter 16/600PS
   :rm=132.239.24.180
   :sd=/var/spool/lpd/dept2906
   :lf=log:af=acct
   :ifhp=model=apple,status@
   :as=|/local/LPRng-3.6.24/UTILS/accounting.pl START
   :ae=|/local/LPRng-3.6.24/UTILS/accounting.pl END
   :if=/local/export/pub/libexec/filters/ifhp
   :force_lpq_status=s=*.ucsd.edu
   :lpd_bounce
