The word is 'persistent' - AND you are 'persuasive' as well.
You need to specify or add this to the ps_init:
ps_init += [ font=f1,f2,f3,f4 ]
Where f1,f2, etc. are font files in the ps_font_dir.
Try add the following to the end of the /etc/ifhp.conf file:
[default]
ps_fontdir=/tmp
ps_init += [ font=f1,f2,... ]
