Hello, I have SuSE 7.0, I have installed LPRng 3.7.1, IFHP 3.4.3, HP4050TN printer But if I do a simple lpr command the filter never gets executed. /etc/printcap lp :lpd_bounce :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp :[EMAIL PROTECTED] :ifhp=model=hp4000,status@ :filter=/usr/libexec/filters/ifhp the command I am executing: lpr -P lp -Z duplex /etc/hosts This file has the stair step problem and is not duplexed!! If I execute: /usr/libexec/filters/ifhp -Z duplex -Tdev=/tmp/t,model=hp4000,config=/etc/ifhp.conf,trace,debug=1,status@ < /home/lach/new-raid.ps 2>/tmp/trace then lpr -P [EMAIL PROTECTED] /tmp/t It works fine!! How do I figure out why when I do it via lpd it fails?? Thanks Lach ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOU MUST BE A LIST MEMBER IN ORDER TO POST TO THE LPRNG MAILING LIST The address you post from MUST be your subscription address If you need help, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or lprng-requests or lprng-digest-requests) with the word 'help' in the body.
