I just upgraded from 3.3.20 to 3.4.3 via RPM (ifhp-3.4.3-1.i386.rpm from
ftp.astart.com) and ran into a couple of problems.

First off, this seems busted:

XYX:ilnea:~> /usr/libexec/filters/ifhp
ifhp 18:42:27.005 [24817] Read_file_and_split: cannot open file '@CONFIG_FILE@' - No
such file or directory

It looks like the default config file (which I expect is /etc/ifhp.conf)
wasn't substituted properly into the source. Adding a
"config=/etc/ifhp.conf" to the "ifhp=" line in my printcap made things work
again.

Secondly, these entries in ifhp.conf look odd:

### hpiiisi+ps - HP LaserJet III (No PostScript Interpreter)
### hp3si+ps - HP LaserJet III (No PostScript Interpreter)

Why would "+ps" indicate no PS interpreter? Shouldn't the entries be
"hp3si" without PS and "hp3si+ps" with PS? Yes, I actually have some hp3si
printers with PS options installed, and they work just fine (pagecounts and
everything) with:

[ hpiiisi ]
pjl_only=[
    COMMENT ENTER
 ]

ps
pcl

Finally, with ifhp was busted, printing (via LPRng 3.7.1) produced no
errors whatsoever. The jobs just disappeared after three attempts without
recording anything in the status file. This made tracking this down pretty
tough; I only stumbled it upon it when running ifhp myself. What's the
best way to go about debugging a problem like this?
